9.97ct Watermelon Tourmaline Statement Ring in 9ct Gold

The tourmaline is an elongated rectangular emerald cut, measuring an impressive 21.5 x 9.2 x 6.1mm. Its distinctive natural colour zoning moves dramatically through deep green into soft blush, vivid pink and rich raspberry tones — the wonderful combination that gives watermelon tourmaline its name.

The simplicity of the design allows the stone to take centre stage. It is secured by four substantial claws in an open-sided 9ct yellow gold setting, allowing light to enter the tourmaline from multiple angles. A satisfyingly substantial gold shank balances the scale of the stone beautifully, giving the whole ring a wonderfully solid feel.

And this really is a substantial piece: the complete ring weighs 7.2g.
